For HPTLC (high performance thin layer chromatography). Plates consist of silica gel plus an inert organic binder in a uniform layer on glass. They feature narrow particle size distribution, homogeneity, and overall uniformity to provide performance and reproducibility, for the ultimate in TLC resolution and sensitivity. Pore size is 60Å. Layer thickness is 200µm. Particle size is 4.5µm.

K indicates silica gel; D indicates channeled plates; F indicates fluorescent indicator. HP indicates high-performance silica; L indicates preadsorbent layer.
