SuperClear tubes are made from an ultra-clear polypropylene resin that provides a clear view of the pellet as well as correct color rendition. Tubes with caps feature a GateFree™ design for a strong, smooth tube bottom that eliminates the risk of snagging gloves or irritating fingers. Caps are flat, pierceable, frosted, and won’t open when the tube is boiled or autoclaved. The caps have smooth surfaces and an ergonomic design to reduce the occurrence of repetitive strain injuries from opening and closing. Tubes fit most common rotors. Autoclavable at 122°C (252°F). Freezable to -90°C (-130°F).

Note: Because the 1.7mL tubes have a cap designed to stay closed for boiling, they should not be used for vortexing. (See 20170-038 series for tubes appropriate for vortexing.)
