The O-ring seal will prevent moisture and dust from getting inside of your spotting scope. Let's face it. When you're out in the field performing surveillance and range estimating, the last thing you need are foreign objects and moisture clouding your view. The Recon 15x50 Mountain Scope by Vortex allows quick attachment with the Picatinny rails on two sides. You can also use the carry clip and attach to your belt or strap.
