Vixen VMC110L Telescope with Starbook and GP2 Mount 39692 - 39693 is one of the smartest values for a first imagetelescope package that will help you follow the stars. This Telescope package has the Vixen GP2 Equatorial Moun that, once aligned to Polaris star , will help keep the movement of the stars centered in your field of view. A first step in becoming an amateur astronomer is understanding the movement of the stars as the Earth rotates. This Telescope Mount could be the last equatorial mount you ever need as it is upgradeable and expandable. Coupled with the versatility of the Vixen VMC110L 110mm Telescope , many astronomers could spend countless hours enjoying this combination. The GP2 equatorial mount by Vixen comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and astrophotography. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allowing accurate tracking. Motion is controlled by included control knobs for accurate slewing. The polar altitude adjustment varies from 0° to 62° in altitude. Optional single axis or dual axis motors and controllers are available as is a polar alignment telescope and setting circles. Add the new Vixen STAR BOOK S GOTO Hand Controller 2522 with built in starchart for full Go-To capabilities. Package includes one PL20 eyepiece.
