Vixen SPHINX mount.
Vixen Polar Axis scope is used for pointing the equatorial mount at the celestial pole precisely -
this process is called "Polar alignment". When taking long exposure astrophotography of nebulae
or star clusters you will have to set the telescope's
axis of rotation parallel with the Earth's axis of rotation exactly.
