Vixen Half Pillar Great Polaris Mount AM-HP-3584 adds 23cm (9") height to the Vixen Great Polaris mount. This extra length raises the position of the eyepiece on long focal length telescopes and allows for more comfortable viewing when targeting objects high in the sky near the zenith. The Vixen Half Pillar also prevents collisions between the balance weight shaft and tripod when observing near the equator.
