Vixen Great Polaris Equatorial DX Mount with HAL110 Tripod MT-GX-3813-T is one of the most massive of the three Great Polaris series equatorial mounts manufactured by Vixen. To experienced astronomers, the word Vixen means the finest in equatorial mounts and the Vixen Great Polaris DX equatorial mount is the mount that has earned them this reputation. Today, the Vixen Great Polaris DX is the most widely used equatorial mount in use on premium grade telescopes. The Vixen Great Polaris DX mount achieves its precision from R.A. and Declination axes of durable steel with worm wheels of brass. This allows for telescope loads 44% greater than the Vixen Great Polaris mount. To minimize the periodic motion, these gears are machined to twice the precision as that of the Vixen Great Polaris mount. All gears are individually inspected before assembly in Japan. The combination of rigid materials and precision machining dramatically increases the tracking accuracy of the Vixen Great Polaris DX mount. In short, there is no finer mount for astrophotography than the Vixen Great Polaris DX mount.

The Vixen HAL110 Tripod for GP-series AM-3803 is made from heavy-duty aluminum and is specifically designed to complement the increased load capacity of the Vixen Great Polaris Equatorial DX Mount.
