Product Category Description:

The low-profile VisiDoc-It system captures fluorescent and non-fluorescent gels, membranes, blots, autorads, and plates. The stand-alone VisiDoc-It system requires no PC and includes a CCD video camera and comes with either a hood or a stand. The plastic hood fits on a transilluminator with 20x20cm or smaller filter area; the stand is designed with a post for mounting the camera above a transilluminator. Images can be saved as TIFF or jpeg formats to the CompactFlash memory card with 64MB memory or transferred to a computer. For high-quality prints, an optional 256 gray scale thermal printer (21453-320) is available. CCD Camera specifications: composite monochrome, on-chip interline transfer CCD sensor; 752x582 pixels PAL (768x494 pixels NTSC) resolution; 11.5–69mm manual zoom lens; UV bandpass; and IR blocking filter. The VisiDoc-It also comes with Doc-It* processor for capturing and documenting gels, films, and membranes. The processor features pre-set integration times from 0.1 up to 10 seconds, oversaturation warnings, a 16.3cm (613/32") flat-panel LCD screen, and an internal 1.44MB disk drive. The optional Doc-It 1D analysis software loads on a separate computer for analysis of gels, plates, and membranes. Features include automatic lane and band detection, quantitative analysis of lanes and bands, multiple MW calibration, background correction, image enhancement, and reporting capabilities.
