U.S.NightVision Device USNV 18 Gen 2+ is light weight and extremely versatile in its design. The USNV-18 NightVision Monocular by U.S.NightVision can be used hand-held, head-mounted, weapon mounted or attached to a camera/camcorder. The multi-coated optics and integrated infrared illuminator enhance image clarity in low light situations. The night vision unit operates on a single 3V lithium battery and is submersible up to 2 meters. The USNV-18 Monocular by US Night Vision also features an infrared illuminator and low battery indicator in the user's field of view, allowing the operator to monitor functionality while in hands free mode. The "single tube / single eyepiece" approach to night vision is based upon the battle proven concept that independent use of each eye maximizes the ability of the user to operate under a wide range of low light applications. This tactic enhances the user's field of view and allows the user to retain full peripheral vision in the unaided eye. The unaided eye now works in conjunction with the 40 degree field of view offered by the night vision device.
