Product Category Description:

SI (super insulation) ultra-low temperature freezers maximize lab space by offering 20% more storage capacity than a 572L (20.2cu.ft.) upright within the same freezer footprint. A high-capacity 708L (25cu.ft.) interior holds up to 30 Revco stainless steel inventory racks suitable for up to 480 boxes measuring 5.1cm (2") high or 360 boxes measuring 7.6cm (3") high. Freezers feature a thin wall insulation technique that integrates closed-cell, high-density foamed-in-place urethane insulation with Dow INSTILL* vacuum insulation core. This decreases wall thickness from the standard 12.7cm (5") to 6.7cm (25/8").

Units feature the IntrLogic* microprocessor control system, which is simple to use, yet sophisticated in performance with direct digital setpoint and display, keyed power and alarm switch, and touchpad data entry. The lifeguard compressor protection system monitors compressor performance and automatically adjusts operation. Automatic Incident Monitor (A.I.M.) initiates a fast flash warning if the system has encountered problems, and records and displays the minimum and maximum temperatures achieved. An extreme ambient alert provides an early warning when ambient temperature is high enough to affect compressor operating conditions. Includes remote alarm contacts.

Ultima II freezers feature the Legaci* refrigeration system, which provides reliability and sample security by withstanding strenuous laboratory environments. It includes customized Copeland* 1hp compressors combined with DuPont Suva 95* refrigerant to provide the extra strength needed for extreme temperature loads. Pressure Equalization Port (PEP*) combats door open and close pressurization differential in the inner chamber, allowing easy re-entry within 30 seconds.

Upright freezers feature a convenient, one-handed CryoLatch* and a heavy-duty silicone gasket to ensure a tight, four-point seal, which prevents frost build-up. CryoLatch integrated door handle and latch assembly allow for easy door opening and closing and include standard key lock and a provision for a padlock. Five ABS molded, crack- and chip-resistant, air-insulated inner doors with magnetic latches minimize cold air loss during door openings. Recessed heavy-duty casters and leveling feet are standard on both models.

Ordering Information: Supplied with a manufacturer’s two-year parts and labor warranty, plus an additional three-year warranty on compressor parts. Units include one fixed stainless steel shelf and three adjustable stainless steel shelves. Optional accessories available include inventory racks, boxes, dividers, temperature recorders, and CO2 or LN2 backup systems.
