Product Category Description:
Designed to automate sample preparation processes of nucleic acids, proteins, and cells in a 96-well plate format for high-speed purification. Processor utilizes magnetic rods to move particles through processing steps. Target molecules proceed automatically through binding, washing, and incubation phases until the final purified or isolated material is eluted from particles for use in a variety of downstream applications. Genomic DNA or mRNA can also be purified from a variety of sample material. System includes software and automated protocols for almost any existing magnetic-particle-based method. Software allows custom-made protocols for unique applications. In one run, 96 samples can be purified in as few as 15 minutes. Ideal for 20–100µL 96-well and skirted PCR† plates and 100–1000µL square-well, deep well plates.
The microtiter deep well plates enable the efficient processing and mixing of magnetic particles, further enhancing the sample preparation and purification process. Plates are made from a virgin grade polypropylene and are biologically inert and chemically resistant. They are perfect for sample collection, storage, combinatorial chemistry, and library applications. Plates can be sealed with cap mats, available in nonsterile and sterile formats.
