The operator does not need to manually tell the Stalker Dual SL if same lane traffic is going faster or slower than the patrol vehicle. This makes same lane operation as simple and accurate as conventional moving mode operation. A direction sensing ability of the Stalker Dual Same-Lane Radar-Gun allows the operator to select a specific direction of traffic to monitor. The Dual SL Radar Gun by Stalker can measure closing targets while automatically ignoring vehicles that are going away - even if a target moving away is closer than a distant closing target. The Dual SL Radars by Stalker open up whole new areas that can be worked effectively with stationary operation.

This Radar Gun by Stalker provides voice verification of the location, radar mode, and direction. Whenever a target is locked, the Stalker Dual SL Police Radar audibly tells the operator which antenna was used (front or rear), what mode the radar is operating in (moving or stationary), and the direction (opposite or same direction) the vehicle was traveling. These added step assists the operator in ensuring accuracy every time. The audio tone from conventional radars will vary in pitch when the patrol car's speed changes. The audio in the Dual Same Lane 2KA Antenna Radar Package by Stalker LE is compensated for patrol speed, so the pitch always is directly related to the actual target speed, true doppler audio. This allows the operator to know target speeds just by hearing the pitch, eliminating the need to constantly watch the display. The compact display and counting unit is small enough to be mounted almost anywhere. If an even smaller unit is desired, the display / counting unit can be separated and then just the display can be mounted on the dash.

The Stalker Dual Same Lane 2 Ka Antenna Package includes two O-ring sealed, ultra-high frequency, Ka band antennas. These compact, completely waterproof antennas utilize locking waterproof connectors and can be exterior mounted with no reliability concerns. The extremely sophisticated Ka band antennas use two mixer diodes (every other radar available uses just one diode). By averaging the doppler signal from two diodes, the ending signal is much cleaner (less static or noise). The reduced signal noise increases sensitivity and allows the radar to achieve much longer range. Through patented digital antenna communication the Stalker DUAL SL achieves longer range by digitizing the doppler audio signal at the antenna and using a high-speed bi-direction communication link to transmit data between the antenna and the counting unit. Other two-piece radar units (even DSP radar units) send a low level doppler audio signal from the antenna to the counting unit for processing and speed display. This method is susceptible to noise induced by the auto ignition and 2-way radio transmissions, which result in reduced range and increased potential for false signals.
