RX Lens Options

Polycarbonate
Impact resistant lenses provide the very best eye protection. Scratch coating and UV protection included. Highly recommended for Skydiving, Motorcyclists and other extreme activities.
TRANSITIONS® Lens
TRANSITIONS® lens changes to suit different lighting conditions. Good general purpose lens. Not recommended for extremely bright situations. Change from a clear to gray-2.
Polarized Lens
Polarized lens provides an excellent glare free environment. Great for light sensitive eyes. Excellent in water and snow.
Lined Bi-focal
This bifocal lens is specially set to a low point so as to not interfere with action sports.

What is the difference between Grey #1, Grey #2, and Grey #3?
A: Grey #1 is very light, barely noticeable - there is a jump to grey #2 which is a sunshade that you can still see your eye through and grey #3 is a sunshade that you can not see your eye through.

Does SportRX offer a warranty?
A: Sport-RX have a one year warranty on the frames. Your prescription lenses are not covered under a warranty.

What are the different colors of tint used for?
A: Grey is used for all around use and is available in #1, #2, #3. Grey will not change colors when looking through them. Brown #3 will provide mild contrast and sunshade but it will change the color of things you see. Amber is a high contrast lens designed for low light situations, depth perception enhancement, or a very light amber may be used at night. Yellow is typically used for very high contrast needs such as hunting.

Why should I use Sportrx over my regular optician?

A: Cutting 8 and 10 base lens to fit in a wrap frame is a very specialized process which requires specialized cutting equipment and knowledge. The possibility for optical distortion is much higher than regular frames. SportRX have been processing wrap frames for 8 years.
