Product Category Description:

TabTop tubes eliminate the handling and safety problems often associated with conventional microcentrifuge tubes. The vertical tab on the flat cap is ideal for handling samples in rotors, racks, heat blocks, and baths. Contamination of the internal cap skirt is eliminated by pressing the thumb against the levered TabTop.

TabTop tubes are manufactured from polypropylene. They feature multi-sector delta well lids for reagent loading prior to spinning. Normal surface tension is tripled in every sector, allowing cap closure without sample intermixing. Upon centrifugation, vector forces provide controlled mixing at the bottom of the tube. The 0.5mL tubes have delta lids with two sectors that hold 1.5µL each; the 1.5mL tubes have delta lids with four sectors that hold 20µL each. The loaded delta lid also provides an ideal visual confirmation that all necessary components have been added prior to spinning. Temperature range: -80 to 121°C. Certified RNase-, DNase-, and pyrogen-free. Autoclavable.
