LOMO SF-FA Microscope photo adapter is a great upgrade for your LOMO SF-100 / MBC-10 microscope! SF-FA has a beam splitter in it that either directs all of the light to the binocular head, or 90% to the camera and 10% to the binocular head. The manual for the SF-FA includes a ray diagram showing the image path. The magnification at the film plane depends on what magnification the microscope is at. It can be either 0.6X, 1X, 2X, 4X, or 7X. The image size at the film plane is the standard 24 x 36. The SF-FA when used with a 35mm camera has a max magnification of 7x to the camera. However, when used with the included eyepiece tube adapter and 14x eyepiece, the max magnification is 98x (using the 7x objective position and the 14x eyepiece).
