The brass case is the most expensive part of a loaded round of ammo. Reloading brass (by replacing the primer, powder and bullet inside the used brass casing) offers savings of about 60% over factory-loaded ammunition. RCBS handloading supplies provide shooters with everything needed to re-use expensive brass cartridge cases by reloading them with new primer, powder and bullets.
R.C.B.S. is the leading manufacturer of reloader equipment for rifles and pistols. RCBS was founded in the early 1940s in the back room of a laundry, but soon outgrew its modest beginnings. The very first RCBS Reloading dies were specifically designed to form jacketed bullets, which were used to shoot Rock Chucks – a varmint of the Western United States – and hence named Rock Chuck Bullet Swages, later shortened to RCBS. Since then, the RCBS product line has expanded to include reloading kits, reloading presses, benches, tools, guides, dies, lube and gun cleaning media, and everything else needed by for shotshell reloading. Today the RCBS Company is still based in Oroville, California, and is part of ATK's Ammunition Systems Group. RCBS sells ammunition reloading supplies throughout the world.
