Vixen SX Half Pillar 2 2518 adds almost 21cm (8 1/4") height to the Vixen Sphinx mount. This extra length raises the position of the eyepiece on long focal length telescopes and allows for more comfortable viewing when targeting objects high in the sky near the zenith. The Vixen SX Half Pillar also prevents collisions between the balance weight shaft and tripod when observing near the equator.
