The primary mission of L3 Thermal Eye X50 Thermal Camera is to support first responders with rapid, easy to use, handheld thermal vision hardware, which helps to find and locate suspects and victims.

The L-3 Thermal-Eye X-50 is unaffected by bright lights, glare or shadows, unlike traditional night vision technology. ThermalEye Thermal Imaging from X-50 series is developed with advanced amorphous silicon microbolometer technology. This thermal vision camera is very lightweight (13 ounces/ 0.38kg) Thermal Eye X50 detects human activity from more than 1000ft (300m) away. ThermalEye X50 requires two commercial AA batteries, which provide operating life of 5 hours (lithium batteries) or 2 hours (alkaline batteries).
