This is a LOMO First Order Red (Full Wave) Compensating Plate for polarized light microscopes. The compensator covers 1
order (approx. 550nm) and is housed in metal. This first order red plate can be used on all makes of microscopes with DIN standard (6mm x 20mm) compensator slots.
