It has taken long, but Leatherwood has finally released the Leatherwood M14 / M1A All Steel Mount to solve the issue with inconsistent dimensions. This is a Springfield Armory Picatinny Scope Rail for the M1A / M14. All the recoil loading is taken by the clip guide slot so the forces are parallel to the gun axis. This Riflescope Base is machined to Leatherwood Hi-Lux dimensions that fit both Weaver and Picatinny rings.
