Decatur Genesis-II Traffic Police Radar System has 4 display windows: target, mode, lock and patrol speed. Decatur Genesis2 Law Enforcement Radar Select is compatible with K Band antennas. Decatur Genesis II Law Enforcement Radar - Traffic Safety Radar System:

Simple and Automatic Same Lane:
The Genesis II Select DIRECTIONAL by Decatur is able to automatically determine if a same lane target is going faster or slower than the patrol car. The unit can now provide the operator with the proper same lane target speed instantly, requiring no additional steps by the operator. Same Lane Mode has become simple.

Advanced Target Identification:
Decatur Genesis II Radar - Whether the patrol vehicle is stationary or moving, the Genesis II Directional police radar makes it easier to identify your target. You decide which direction of traffic to measure. You can track vehicles on this Decatur Radar Gun going in both directions simultaneously or isolate your focus to traffic moving in either direction.

Improved RFI Rejection :
The new Genesis Radar II Select DIRECTIONAL utilizes a unique combination of twin interference filters - one in the antenna and the other in the counting unit. It also includes an RFI detection system in the computer. This redundant method has improved the Radar Guns 's ability to reject outside interference and operate imperviously in high interference environments. Our engineers like to call the new system RFI Hardened.

Waterproof Antennas:
The horns are machined from a solid block of aluminum with an O-ring seal keeping everything inside dry.

Small Detachable Display:
The small detachable LCD display unit can be mounted almost anywhere in the patrol vehicle. The LED display is visible even in direct sunlight, and the display can be automatically dimmed at night thanks to a built-in ambient light sensor.

Small Detachable Display:
The mode window displays error messages, settings and other alpha numeric information in a user-friendly and intuitive manner. Other police radars rely on seven segment number displays, which often result in cryptic messages that are very difficult to understand..

Digital Speed Processing (DSP)
An innovative way to select and track targets. DSP enables Decatur Genesis1 Law Enforcement Radar to measure a target's speed based on the distance of travel, allowing it to measure the target's speed every twelve inches, at speeds ranging from 15 to 210 mph - an industry standard. Other radars use older, less efficient signal processing technology that only measures the target's speed every 10-15 car lengths.

Low Microwave Power Output
The efficiency of the DSP enables Genesis-II Decatur Police Radar to transmit less microwave energy through its antenna while maintaining excellent range and indisputable accuracy.
