Pentax Lightseeker-30 Rifle Scopes are serious rifle scopes, developed for serious shooters: bean field shooters in the Deep South, groundhog hunters in the Piedmont, prairie dog hunters of the West, 1000 meter target shooters, or anyone who demands optimum optical and mechanical performance.

As with all Pentax rifle scopes, the Light-Seeker 30 Pentax Rifle Scope -Matte finish, 4-16x magnification, 50mm, Side Parallax Adjustment is filled with nitrogen gas and sealed to prevent moisture penetration and fogging, making it waterproof and fogproof.

Light Seeker 30 Pentax Rifle Scopes -Matte finish, 4-16x magnification, 50mm, Side Parallax Adjustment feature a choice of either the Ballistic Plex reticle or Mil-dot reticle:
The Ballistic Plex reticle adds ballistic reference lines to the lower vertical crosshair and thickening of the outer section of the crosshair with a slight taper from the center to the outside edge to aid in low light shooting.
The Mil-dot reticle is in increasingly widespread use among long-range rifle shooters as a means of estimating the range to the target. The Mil-dot reticle was originally fitted to telescopic sights designed for military (and later police) use. The Mil-dot reticle has seen growing acceptance in the civilian sector among target shooters and hunters.

The Lightseeker 30 Pentax Rifle Scope -Matte finish, 4-16x magnification, 50mm, Side Parallax Adjustment also comes with a Zero Reset feature on the finger adjustable calibrated dial which allows field adjustments to be quickly and accurately reset.

Parallax is the effect created when the image of the target is not focused on the same plane as the reticle, which can cause loss of accuracy. While generally not a significant issue in most hunting situations, it can become a factor in target and varmint shooting applications. The adjustable objective feature allows for image focusing and parallax correction, ensuring maximum accuracy.
