The Pentax Optio M40 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera 19301 is a slim, stylish, and powerful digital camera at an affordable price. The Pentax Optio M40 Digital Camera features a 8.0 Megapixel CCD sensor that captures high quality images, and can produce prints of up to 8 in x 10 in. These Optio M40 Digital Cameras by Pentax have a 3x Optical Zoom and 4x Digital Zoom for a combined 12x Zoom for close-up shots. Pentax Optio Digital Cameras also have functions that help users take quality photographs. The camera 's Digital Shake Reduction mode automatically selects a higher ISO setting to help reduce blur and produce sharp images. The Auto Macro feature allows the camera to instantly switch to a close focusing mode. When taking a picture, the Face Recognition Auto Focus and Auto Exposure function automatically detects faces, and then adjusts the exposure and focus for a properly exposed portrait.

In addition to taking photographs, the Pentax Optio M 40 8.0 Mega-pixel Digital Camera can capture high quality movies. The movies are captured at a resolution of 640x480 pixels and at 30 frames per second (fps), comparable to movies taken with a camcorder.
