This filter changes the light beam color to blue. Blue light provides the best contrast for blood of wounded game to show up against the forest floor. This blue filter is an essential tool for experienced hunters when tracking blood trails to ensure successful recovery of the wounded game. Blue light is also important during crime scene investigation for revealing evidences such as latent fingerprints developed by ninhydrin. The housing of this professional grade blue filter is made of light weight polymer with fiber-additive for high durability. Its rugged design features a double spring system that exerts force to facilitate the openning of the filter cap and to keep it in the open position. When closed, Pentagonlight unique safety latch is used to ensure tight closure and to prevent the filter cap from accidental opening. The filter cap can only be unlatched by slight compression on top the filter cap. The filter cap perfectly fits through the recessed upper rubber lid for maximal closure, thereby eliminating any possibility of light leakage.
