BaK4 prisms of the Nikon spotting scope are combined with specially selected, ultra smooth lens glass to provide complete flatness of field while virtually eliminating distortion. Multilayered anti-reflective coatings of the spotting scope are used on all lenses and prisms to provide unexcelled clarity and brightness along with flare free viewing.

All Fieldscope III 60mm models from Nikon incorporate a built-in sliding hood that keeps rain off the objective lens in poor weather while functioning as a sunshade on bright days. Nikon Fieldscope 20-60x60mm Body w/ Zoom Eyepeice is also very compact and extremely lightweight spotting scope, making it a natural for backpackers and hikers.
