The UMX ultra-microbalances and the MX microbalance feature a backlit graphic display with touch screen operation, proFACT fully automatic calibration and linearization, SmartSens* sensors for hands-free operation, below-the-balance weighing facility, and built-in RS-232 interface. For optional second interface plug-in module, contact our sales representative. Balances also feature a separate electronics unit for minimum disturbance to weighing process, rugged construction, overload protection, and a built-in drawer for storing balance accessories such as tweezers and cleaning utensils.

Other features combine ease-of-use with top-of-the-line performance. Objects can be placed in the weighing chamber from the left or the right, while the motorized draft shield can be operated hands-free, from the keypad, or by hand. The glass draft shield cover is removable for weighing applications or cleaning. With their extremely high resolution and reproducibility, these balances ensure that valid readings are obtained for even the smallest samples. Optional filter set available (see series 11275-950). Optional LabX light balance software (11277-144) provides consistent control of tasks, instruments, and data output. All models can download software from the Internet, display various units of weight, determine the density of solids and liquids, check the precision of pipets, make statistical evaluations, calculate with factors, be tared over the entire weighing range, and carry out piece counting and percent weighing operations.
