Meade ETX 90 PE Premier Edition Telescope has the same great feature as Meade ETX-90AT Astro Telescope (Premium Meade Defruction-Limited Optics, Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design, Oversized primary Mirror, Motorized Dual-Axis Drive System, Flip-Mirror System) PLUS additional features, that make Meade ETX PE Telescopes totally plug-and-play and more user-friendly. The advantages of Meade ETX-PE Premium Edition Telescopes are: Meade AutoAlign, Meade SmartFinder, Meade Deluxe Autostar Computer Controller #497 (with 30,0000 objects database). Meade ETX PE Premier Edition automatically levels your telescope, points it to North and sets the time. You just enter your location or zip code. After your Meade ETX-PE Computerized Telescope completes its patented Level North automatic alignment procedure it will point to the first alignment star, use the new wide-field Meade SmartFinder to center the red dot over the alignment stars for ultra-precise pointing accuracy. Use Meade Autostar Controller #497 to guide the universe with a push of a button.

Meade ETX 90 PE Telescope with AutoAlign comes pre-aligned. Meade AutoAlign makes set-up and alignment of the Meade ETX PE Premier Edition Autostar Telescope virtually a no-brainer. Just enter your city or ZIP Code and you are good to go. Meade AutoAlign Technology will automatically align your Meade ETX 90 PE Telescope and find two fine-tuning stars for you. Once aligned, simply push the GoTo button to see your choice of over 30,000 objects in the night sky. What is alignment anyway? To give you a guided tour of the universe, your telescope needs to know its bearings. Things like location, time, and date all affect where heavenly objects can be found at any given moment. Telescope Alignment is simply a way to synchronize your telescope with the night sky. Meade has patented the simplest, and most effective alignment procedure in the world. All Meade ETX PE Premier Edition AutoStar Telescopes feature Meade Auto Align alignment procedure. Meade Telescopes with AutoAlign are smart scopes that perform this simple procedure for you automatically.

Meade Smart Finder Red Dot Scope helps novices with one of the early frustrating parts of astronomy: centering objects in the finder scope. To the veteran, this is easy. Let Meade AutoStar take you on a guided tour of the best objects for that particular night. Meade AutoStar grows with you. Meade AutoStar Update lets you connect to the internet to download new software versions (Meade Autostar #497 ONLY), special guided tours, and timely objects like satellites and comets right to your AutoStar controller. All for free. You can also learn to create and download personalized tours of your favorite objects. So your Meade AutoStar will get better and better with no added investment but your time. Meade Autostar Computer Controller also keeps objects in the eyepiece. With a manual telescope, the earth's rotation causes objects to move quickly out of your field of view. Not with Meade ETX PE AutoStar Telescopes. Meade Autostar tracks objects automatically, keeping them dead center in your eyepiece for viewing or astrophotography.

All Meade ETX and Meade ETX PE Telescopes come with Meade UHTC Coatings. Meade UHTC is a series of exotic optical coatings precisely tuned to optimize the visual, photographic and CCD imaging performance of Meade ETX Telescopes. Image brightness is increased by nearly 15% over standard Meade coatings. Objects such as stars, galaxies and nebulae as observed through your Meade ETX or Meade ETX-PE will be dramatically brighter. Even observations of the Moon and planets will benefit in increased image brightness from the full spectrum of light transmission.
