The Meade DS-2090MAK Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope 20096 is an affordable, portable, and nearly perfect all-around 
telescope. The Meade DS-2090MAK Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope is a catadioptric telescope that utilizes both lenses and mirrors to form an image. This Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope combines the advantages of a Refractor Telescope and Reflector Telescope while also eliminating their disadvantages. Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescopes offer the clarity and contrast of Refractors with the low image aberration of Reflectors. In addition, the Meade DS2090 MAK Telescope has a 90mm (3.5") diameter aperture, capturing enough light for brighter images and greater detail. This 90mm aperture will let you see craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn, the cloud belts of Jupiter and its moons, countless star clusters, double stars, nebulas and more. DS-2090 MAK Telescopes by Meade include the Meade LNT Auto-align and the critically acclaimed Meade AutoStar with 9-speed controller and automatic GO TO capability to any of over 1400 celestial objects.

The LNT (Level North Technology) Module of DS 2090 MAK 90mm 3.5" Maksutov-Cassegrain Meade Telescope 20096 features electronic compass, electronic level, precise time, advanced red projection-point SmartFinder. The Meade Smart Finder helps novices with one of the early frustrating parts of astronomy: Centering objects in the finder
scope. This is achieved by centering the red dot on the object you want to see. Then move to your telescope 's eyepiece for a closer
look. The SmartFinder finder scope is upgraded from the previous generation of DS-2000 telescopes with new multi-coated optics for locating objects quick and easy.
The Meade MAK Telescope DS-2090 features the DS-2000 Altazimuth mount, providing a more fluent motion in altitude and azimuth.
