Meade #929 2" Diagonal Mirror with Meade UHTC group (not
for use with Microfocuser) 07222 (provided as standard equipment
on 12", 14",
and 16"
LX200GPS 's, available optionally on other models) attaches to the rear cell of all Meade LX-Series
Telescopes and permits the use of wide-field 2" O.D. eyepieces (e.g.,
Meade
Series 4000 Super
Wide 32mm and 40mm eyepieces and others).
Each Diagonal includes a
Meade optical-flat mirror of Pyrex glass, UHTC-coated for maximum reflectivity. 2" Meade Diagonal Mirror 07222 result in images that are correctly oriented up-and-down but reversed left-for-right.
The Diagonal's 2" UHTC (Ultra High
Transmission Coatings ) Mirror is made of
enhanced aluminum, multicoated with layers of titanium dioxide and silicon
dioxide. UHTC
coatings increase Meade 2" Diagonal Mirror # 929 reflectivity to 97%, compared with the 89% reflectivity of a standard aluminum mirror.
The interior of the 2" chrome barrel is painted matte
black and is internally antireflection threaded for higher contrast. It is also
threaded to accept standard 2" (48mm) filters.
