Meade #1220 Field De-Rotater for 7", 8", 10", 12", 14" LX200/LX200GPS models permits long exposure photo or CCD imaging in the altazimuth mode. Meade Field - De rotater #1220 is easy to use! Just align Meade LX200 telescope as usual, using the 2 star technique or other technique described in the LX 200 manual, and, automatically, signals are fed through the RS 232 port on the LX-200 control panel to Meade Field De rotater 07456, causing it to rotate at the correct speed and precisely counter the effects of altazimuth induced field rotation. The required rotation compensation rate changes continuously and automatically, depending on the telescope 's position in the sky. Meade Field De-Rotater is powered through connection with the RS 232 serial port.
