Meade #902 Electronic Eyepiece 07166 provides an inexpensive way to enjoy video astronomy. It's hard to imagine anything more straightforward than this. It is no surprise that Meade Electronic Eyepieces are our best selling Eyepiece. Now you can view real-time images from your telescope on a television set. Meade Electronic Eyepiece 07166 transmits live video images of the Moon, Sun, planets and terrestrial subjects via a single cable to a TV, VCR or camcorder, images can be recorded for later playback or frame-grabbing.

Meade #902 Electronic Eyepiece brings all the light rays gathered by the telescope into sharp focus. It determines the magnification of the image as well as its brightness and contrast. Most telescope users keep a handful of eyepieces at the ready to provide a variety of magnification options for different observing subjects. Meade #902 Electronic Eyepiece 07166 uses a CMOS detector of 320 x 240 pixels to form black and white images at the telescope focus; barrels are included to allow for insertion of the eyepiece into either 0.965" or 1.25" focuser sleeves. The Meade #902 Eyepiece includes a 6 ft. cable and requires a 9-volt battery; the battery fits neatly inside the eyepiece housing.
