Leica MOTOR M for Leica M-Series Film Cameras Product Info

Leica MOTOR M for Leica M-Series Film Cameras can be attached to the Leica MP for automatic shutter cocking and film advancing for single or series exposures of either 1.5 or 3 images per second. It is attached to the bottom of the camera housing instead of the bottom cover. This film camera accessory by Leica is suitable for all shutter speeds, i.e. from 1s to 1/1000s including B. When the Motor-M is turned off or its batteries are flat, the film can be advanced and the shutter cocked manually. Remote release is possible using the cable release connection.

The Leica Motor M is fitted on the camera in place of the base cover. The ergonomically styled handle houses two 3 Volt 123 A lithium batteries, providing sufficient capacity for shooting a minimum of 100 36-exposure rolls (at 20° C). It is just 18.5 mm high, and without batteries weighs 225 grams. It cannot be used in conjunction with lenses that employ viewfinder attachments.
