Leica Geosystems Rugby 55 GC IIIa Class Package with Rod-Eye Basic provides today's contractor with the tools needed for virtually any leveling or alignment imagejob. The Leica Geosystems Surveying Equipment features an easy to use keypad, a watertight seal, variable head speeds, selectable scanning modes, a bright red beam and alkaline or rechargeable battery pack. With the Rugby 55 by Leica Geosystems mounted securely to the first piece of wall angle, set it to the desired height, adjust the ceiling grid using the laser beam on the target as the reference.

Set up your Leica Geosytems Rugby 55 GC 3a Surveying Equipment over a control point using the unique Beam Down feature, then align the rotating or scanning beam to your second control point using the buttons on the Surveying Equipment by Leica Geosystem or the remote control. The top plumb beam is always 90° to the main beam. Set up and align the Leica Rugby 55 to two control points, and the top plumb beam will provide an easy to use, 90 reference.

Adjustments to the Leica Geosystems Rugby 55 3A GC Laser are possible from virtually any direction using the full-function, infrared Remote Control.

  • Beam Down Mode: By selecting zero rps with the head speed button, the rotating head automatically positions itself in a plumb down direction for alignment of the Leica Rugby 55 Laser over a reference point.
  • Sleep Mode: Pressing the Up and Down buttons together on the remote will put the Leica Rugby Interior Laser into sleep mode for two hours to save battery life without disturbing your setup.
