The Laser Max Internal Guide Rod lasers come permanently aligned from the factory* for center-of-mass accuracy at 20 yards. It will never drift out of alignment. There is no need to re-zero after changing batteries. As close to the bore of the firearm as possible, positioning allows for the closest and most consistent relationship between your point of aim and point of impact (POA/POI) over all shooting distances - especially useful for moving targets.

The LaserMax Internal Laser Sight uses a Hi-Vis Pulsating Beam. The pulsating effect gives effortless awareness of muzzle direction, and transcends language barriers. The LaserMax sight can be used outdoors from dusk till dawn, or indoors round-the-clock. IR versions optimized for NVG characteristics.

Please note: SiG P229 is available in 9mm, .357 and .40 caliber. The LMS-2291 fits all versions of the P229, but it is essential that the correct recoil spring be used. LaserMax provides two springs for this purpose. Use the braided spring for 9mm. Use the music wire spring for .357 and .40 caliber. Failure to do so will damage the laser and voids the warranty.
