The ED Lens that is used in Kowa TD 1 Spotting Scope / DSC allows you to use Kowa TD 1 Digital Spotting Scope as a high level Spotting Scope , and enables the Digital Camera to reach Super Telephoto Zoom focal lengths of 450-1350mm (35mm film equivalent). Beacause of its simple operation, even those who are new to Spotting scopes or Digital Cameras can enjoy Ultra Zoom Images with Kowa TD1 Digital Camera Spotting Scope.  Prominar ED 55mm Objective Lens and 3x Optical Zoom Prominar ED Lens:To eliminate chromatic aberration and to have sharp edge to edge images, Kowa TD1 Super Telephoto Digital Camera Scope uses 2 Prominar ED lenses: 55mm Prominar ED Objective Lens and 3x Optical Zoom Prominar ED Lens. Full Multi-Coating on all prisms and lenses, ensures high contrast and a clear visual range. Newly developed 3x Optical Zoom Prominar ED Lens with a 450-1350mm (35mm film equivalent) focal length, realizes unbelievable brightness of F2.8-4. Through the utilization of 10 lens units (11 elements), crisp and clear images with great contrast are achieved to the edge of the lens. 10–30x Optical Zoom: Kowa Spotting Scope / DCS TD1 can be used as a 10-30 x zoom Spottingscope. Traditional Spotting Scopes use the eyepiece to zoom, compared to using an eyepiece, zooming with the objective lens supplies a wide view and the Apparent Field of View always remains the same. The use of Kowa TD 1 Digital Spotiing Scope 's zoom ring and focus ring can be done without moving the position of your hand, which is unlike a regular zoom Spotting Scope .  AF / MF Spotting Scope:Whether the power is ON or OFF, Kowa Super Telephoto Digital Camera Scope TD 1 can be used as an everyday Spotting Scope . When the power is turned on Kowa TD 1 can be used as an Auto Focus Spotting Scope. Auto focusing begins when the shutter button is pressed half way down (a picture will not be taken unless the button is pressed all the way down). In manual focus mode, focusing can be done by turning the focusing ring. (If the power is turned off the auto focus function will not work). Long Eye Relief: Kowa TD-1 Spotting-Scope 's long eye relief of 20mm allows for comfortable viewing, even for users who wear eyeglasses! Twist-up Eyecups allow users to easily set the distance necessary for them to view comfortably. Stylish Easy to use design: Like an SLR Camera , zooming and focusing is easily achieved by utilizing the zoom and focus rings. Also, a sliding sunshade and aiming sight are built into Kowa TD 1 Digital Camera Spotting Scope. 3.14 Mega-Pixel CCD: Due to the high performance of Kowa TD 1 Digital Camera Scope 's Prominar ED lens, you are able to efficiently use all of the pixels on the CCD image sensor. Through the use of a primary color filter you are able to achieve true color rendition. 
1.8" LCD Monitor: Kowa TD1 Super Telephoto Digital Camera Scope 's 1.8" LCD monitor is not only useful for playback, but also useful for viewing. When taking a picture the image can be enlarged up to four times and can help to make sure that the picture is in focus (MF Mode only). Wireless Remote Control: In order to eliminate the problem of vibration, which occurs very easily at long focal lengths, a wireless remote control is included in TD 1 Kowa Digital Spotting Scope package. Kowa TD 1 Spotting-Scope Wireless Remote Control can be used up to a distance of 1 m (3.28 feets). Also included is a remote control band which can be attached to the pan handle of the Tripod. This can be very useful when photographing while viewing. Selection between Auto and Manual Focus is done on the Mode Selector. Even when shooting in AF Mode, focus adjustments can be made by turning the focus ring. This function of TD 1 Kowa Spotting Scopes is very useful when slight adjustments are needed in order to get the perfect picture. Continuous Picture Mode: When continuous mode is selected, 4 pictures will be taken in a row. Kowa TD 1 Spotting Scope Digital Camera will automatically switch to Standard Quality (1028x768/SQ) when this function is selected. Rotating Tripod Mount : When the camera is turned on end, photographs can be taken in portrait view. When attached to a tripod, placing Kowa TD1 Super Telephoto Digital Camera Scope in this position is useful for changing a memory card or the batteries (the power for Kowa TD 1 is supplied by four AA batteries (Alkaline, Nickel Manganese, Lithium, Nickel Cadmium, Nickel Hydride). SD Mamory Card Kowa Digital Camera Spotting Scopes TD-1 use the very compact and widely used SD memory card . Kowa TD1 Digital Spottin Scope can use SD media cards of up to 256MB .
