Product Category Description:

These specially-sized cabinets for corrosives make the most of available space – whether adding to existing storage or making solvents accessible at workstations. Built-in safety features make these cabinets ideal for flammable corrosives. Cabinets are constructed of all-welded, 18-gauge, double-walled steel with 3.8cm (11/2") of insulating air space. Spill-catching galvanized steel shelves are adjustable on 5.7cm (21/4") centers. Dual vents with built-in flash arresters are placed at the bottom and opposite top. A 5.1cm (2") liquid-tight containment sump holds leaks and meets EPA requirements. Polyethylene spill catcher trays are fitted to the shelves and sump and are easily removed for cleaning. Self-latching doors feature a continuous piano hinge and a keyed three-point latch. Choose from lever or Sure-Grip* handles. All cabinets have an epoxy blue powder-coat finish to protect against corrosion. Self-closing models close automatically when temperature reaches 74°C (165°F). All cabinets have one door and one shelf.

Countertop safety cabinets allow increased access to frequently used corrosives without compromising safety and may be moved easily for work area flexibility. Compac cabinets are suitable for work areas where space is limited.

Cabinets meet OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA Code 30, section 4.3.3. Compac cabinets are FM approved. Self-closing models comply with UFC.

Caution: Cabinets are not recommended for storage of phenol, nitric acid, or sulfuric acid.
