This electronic, motorized rotary microtome is designed for all applications of paraffin and hard specimens in clinical, research, and industrial labs. Unit displays extraordinary ergonomic characteristics for comfortable operation while maintaining reproducible precision during sectioning. Microtome allows operator to program a series of sections for specific applications and provides three modes of operation: single, interval, and continuous stroke. Features touchpad keyboard with controls for thickness, mode, and speed. Designed with a movable operating panel for use on left or right side of instrument. Operator can choose from manual and/or foot pedal control. Unit can be used for semi-thin techniques. Unit provides X/Y orientation and connection for optional automatic approach system. Knife advances toward the specimen and retraction may be turned off.
