The G2180 hybrid video/photo/birding head is an extremely compact and low profile fluid head with a beautiful and ergonomic design. Muted colors and reflection free surfaces offer good camouflage in birdwatching and outdoor activities. This head offers an exceptional size/weight to performance ratio. Gitzo developed a special technical polymer compound, Soulid 238 (R), in order to achieve such a compact size and low weight. The G2180 head incorporates an adjustable counter-balance system with a choice of seven positions that allow the head to be leveled quickly and make for easy spotting and tracking of birds in flight. The removable pan bar gives the head a more compact look and allows the head to be used with long photographic lenses.
