GG&G AR-15 Scope Rail Mounts come in two lengths to suit your needs. These GG&G Optical Mounting Rails were designed to mount easily over the integral rails of the AR15/M16 flat top receiver, and work in conjunction with any model of backup iron sights from GG&G. The GG&G Rail Mounting Brackets raise the line of sight by 1/2 inch, which means they offer a proper cheek weld when optical devices are attached. In addition, these scope rails serve to protect the flat top receiver's integral rails from the damaging wear associated with lever type quick-release mounts, especially those without buffer pads.

Two options of GG&G AR15 Rails are available:

• The GG&G Scout Rail extends two inches beyond the upper receiver and cantilevers over the handguards including the AC forearm. It was developed to accommodate long-eye-relief "scout"-type rifle scopes and also Aimpoint red dot sights with night vision monoculars mounted to their rear.
• The GG&G Standard Rail is employed mainly as a riser for conventional optical sights. When mounted with a GG&G back up iron sight, it is flush with the end of the receiver.

Each GG&G Scope Mount Rail is manufactured from billet 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, black Type III hard-coat anodized per Mil-Spec, and meet MIL-STD-1913. The GG&G Rail Mount systems lock onto the flat top receiver by means of a full locking side bar and two round head socket head screws. This provides both a positive and perfectly aligned lock-up even on well-worn receiver rails. The socket head wrench required for installation is included. Both the Standard and Scout length mounting rails are manufactured in the USA, at the Tucson, Arizona factory of GGG. Because these AR-15 and M-4 rail mounting systems are used in combat situations, they are designed and tested extensively before they are sold.
