The Garmin Colorado 300 GPS Waterproof Handheld Navigation Device 010-00622-31 is a GPS Navigation Device that can be very useful when exploring the backcountry. It is also packed with features such as a built-in basemap, high-sensitivity receiver, barometric altimeter, an electronic compass, SD card slot, color display, picture viewer and more. Exchanging tracks, waypoints, routes and geocaches wirelessly between similiar units is also possible with this Garmin GPS Navigation Device.

With its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, the Colorado 300 by Garmin locates your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons. A built-in electronic compass on the navigation device provides a display of information even while you are standing still, while its barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your precise altitude. The altimeter can also be used to plot barometric pressure over time, which can help keep an eye on changing weather conditions.

The Garmin Handheld Navigation System also features a Rock 'n Roller input wheel for easy one-handed operation and supports Geocaching.com GPX files for downloading geocaches and detail straight to your unit. Plugging in optional preloaded SD cards is also possible for all your outdoor activities on land or water. Just insert a MapSource card with detailed street maps, topographic maps, coastal charts or inland lake data. The card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment, so you don't have to worry about getting it wet.
