Product Category Description:

EPA-approved method for detecting the presence or absence of total coliforms and E. coli. Dehydrated and granulated culture media in an irradiated snap pack format is added to the water sample and incubated for 24 hours at 34.5 to 37°C (94.1 to 98.6°F). The presence of total coliforms is indicated by a blue-green color of the broth. Presence of E. coli. is indicated by a blue fluorescence under UV light. Sample bottles are sterile and are available with or without sodium thiosulfate dechlorinating agent.
