Celestron NexStar Telescope Computerized Hand Control #93962 , with a myriad of powerful new functions, is the next evolution of the most user-friendly, intuitive hand control in the industry. NexStar Computerized Hand Control can only be used with Celestron NexStar i Series Telescopes : Celestron NexStar 5 i Telescope, Celestron NexStar 8i Telescope, Celestron NexStar 8i Special Edition Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes.

Celestron NexStar i Telescope Computerized Hand Control #93962 NOW comes standard with Celestron NexStar 5i Telescope 11034 and Celestron NexStar 8 i Telescope 11022/1022-XLT packages.

Features of Celestron Nexstar i Computer Hand Control 93962 :

  • 40,000 Object Database: A newly enlarged and expanded programmable user database including the complete Messier, NGC, IC and Caldwell catalogs. Customized lists of all the best Galaxies, Nebulae and other Deep-sky objects. Room to save hundreds of user defined objects.
  • Quick Align: An easy way to get an Alt/Az telescope tracking without actually aligning on two stars.
  • Dual Axis Tracking: Tracking of any object in the sky, including the moon and planets.
  • Hibernate: This power saving feature lets you power down the telescope without losing your alignment (must input time if CN16 GPS accessory is not attached). Great for finding planets in the daytime after aligning at night or observing night after night without having to re-align.
  • Database Filter Limits: User-defined so that only objects visible above the horizon are displayed on the hand control.
  • Wedge Align Algorithm: Automatically aligns the telescope to the celestial pole. Essential when you are performing a polar alignment on an Equatorial wedge.
  • GPS Align Compatible (with optional CN16 GPS accessory): Plug the optional CN16 GPS accessory into the auxiliary port and the telescope automatically aligns without unnecessary data input.
  • Auto North and Level Compatible (with optional CN16 GPS accessory): Automatically finds north and level with more precision than can be done by hand, getting you closer to your alignment stars.
