The Maksutov optical design of Celestron C130 Mak Maksutov Cassegrain Advanced Series Telescope - 31063 is recognized for being a portable design that is easy to use and has a variety of applications, making it an excellent choice for both terrestrial and astronomical usage.

Celestron C 130 Mak Telescope has excellent optics with razor sharp images over a wide field. Celestron 5" Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope C-130 Mak 31063 features an internal flip mirror design which allows the user to view celestial objects at a 90 degree angle and also corrects the image orientation to view land objects at a 45 degree angle.

C 130 Mak Celestron Advanced Telescopes #31063 come with CG-5 German Equatorial Mount.
CG-5 Mount - Precision engineered for stability of Celestron Telescopes.

Celestron new CG 5 German Equatorial Mount has precision worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth stability. The key element that makes this system the most stable in its class is the NEW Heavy-Duty Tripod with larger and more substantial legs that offer excellent damping characteristics for more stable views. Celestron CG5 German Equatorial Mount also has a convenient latitude scale for easier alignment and an optional polar finder scope for the ultimate in precision alignments.
