Most Bushnell products products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty, but there are some exceptions. Please note that OpticsPlanet.com does not repair Bushnell and Bausch & Lomb products, but below provide all information required for you to use or fix your Bushnell product should an issue arise. We also provide links to instructional manuals for most of Bushnell's products.

How to Send Bushnell and Bausch & Lomb Product in for Repair

Packaging:Box your unit securely, sending only the unit. Do NOT send accessory items such as dust caps, carrying case, eyepieces, mounts, etc.

What to Include:

  • A short note explaining the reason you are sending the unit in for repair.
  • Your daytime phone number.
  • A UPS deliverable address for returning your product to you. (No PO boxes please.)
  • A check or money order in the appropriate shipping and handling fee amount (See Chart Below)

Shipping:

We recommend that you send your unit to Bushnell by way of UPS. UPS provides a tracking # should your unit become lost or damaged. UPS automatically insures each package up to $100.00, and if you choose, you can purchase additional insurance. If you live in the United States your repair should be sent to:

Repair Process:

When your unit is received it will be assigned a repair #. After reading your letter a technician will evaluate your unit to determine what repairs are needed and whether or not warranty coverage will be applicable. It is our option to repair or replace your unit. If your unit is NOT covered under warranty an estimate for repair or replacement will be mailed to you. You will have 20 days to respond, either accepting or declining the recommendation. If you accept the recommendation for repair or replacement you will need to provide payment. That can be in the form of a check, money order, or if you prefer, by MasterCard or VISA. If the repair or replacement is covered under warranty, you will receive no additional correspondence. Your repaired unit or a comparable replacement of equal value and function will be shipped to you via UPS within the normal turnaround time which may vary seasonally.

Bushnell Warranty:

In the past Bushnell and Bausch & Lomb products have had different lengths of warranty coverage. However, since 1984, the majority of our products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Bushnell Performance Optics guarantees your product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. The exceptions are as follows.

These warranties do not cover consumer caused damages such as misuse, abuse or repairs attempted by someone other than our authorized technicians.
