Footage can also be used to help identify suspects who have managed to flee the scene.The Burris Shotcam, when removed from a weapon, can continue to provide video, still frames and audio of a crime scene and witnesses.

The Burris 300225 Shotcam and other miscellaneous accessories mount easily to duty shotguns using the Burris Tri-Rail Mount for magazine tube extensions, and can also be used with the Burris Shotcam Holster Glock.
