Store biological samples at ultra-cold temperatures securely and reliably with these vials. They are constructed of high-strength polypropylene and sterilized by irradiation. In addition, they are pyrogen-free, will not leak, and feature a large white marking area.

The internally threaded Cryos vials feature a uniform silicone gasket mounted on the screw cap to ensure a leakproof closure and are available in either a self-standing model or with a round bottom. The externally threaded, self-standing Cryos vials feature a silicone liner in the cap top to ensure a tight closure. Both styles may be used safely in mechanical chambers at temperatures as low as the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen. For use with liquid nitrogen*, both styles must first be correctly sealed with Cryoshrink tubing.

Cryoshrink tubing is a clear, heat-shrinkable polyethylene tubing with a 16mm diameter that can be used with all Cryos vials. Cryosleeves feature wall craft construction to fit over aluminum canes containing Cryos vials. Cryosleeve size: 1.6IDx27Lcm (9/16x103/4").

*Warning: Do not use Cryos cryogenic storage vials in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen unless they are correctly sealed in Cryoshrink tubing (80077-444). Improper use of Cryos vials in liquid nitrogen may result in possible explosions or biohazard release due to the pressure build-up of liquid nitrogen captured within the vial. To ensure proper sealing, follow the instructions for use, which are enclosed in each Cryos vial pack.
