An independent light transmission test has been conducted by Gamma Scientific. Gamma Scientific is an independent lab, which compiles with National Institute of Standard Technology and offers the world's most comprehensive selection of precision light measurement instruments. Several binoculars were tested for light transmission qualities including; Carson 10x42mm XM-HD Binoculars XM-042HD, Leupold Golden Ring 8x42mm Binoculars Waterproof Binoculars and Steiner 8x42 Predator Binoculars 248. Carson binoculars scored the highest in light transmission performance.
