Assembled from molded parts of clear and black methyl-methacrylate plastic. Each features air-tight, gasket-lined door and 5.7cm (21/4") indicating dial hygrometer with 0–100 scale to measure inside relative humidity. Cabinet is held tightly closed by plated metal hinges and latches.

Auto-desiccator models utilize an electronic control section measuring 11Lx15Wx30Hcm (411/32x529/32x1113/16"). Silica gel stored in this section absorbs moisture from the cabinet and its contents to maintain a low (30–40%) relative humidity. Must be plugged into 110V outlet.

Horizontal cabinets have eight levels of shelf placements and include two sets of removable shelf rails and two clear molded shelves with vent holes. Vertical cabinets provide 15 levels of shelf placement and come complete with three sets of removable shelf rails and three clear molded shelves with vent holes.
