Product Category Description:

These columns are designed for the analysis of aqueous samples using reversed phase chromatography.

The packing material is prepared with monochloro-silanes to ensure maximum monomolecular surface coverage of the alkyl layer. A final endcapping reaction further reduces the adsorption effects that can cause tailing, allowing for high reproducibility. Columns have efficiencies greater than 65,000 plates per meter and yield a peak asymmetry factor within a range of 0.9–1.4.

The XL system provides high speed separations and the unique design can result in up to four times longer column life with periodic replacement of the guard cartridge. Dead volume between the two cartridges is eliminated, ensuring optimum resolution. High efficiency — up to 100,000 plates per meter — can be achieved without sacrificing performance.
