Programmable preset controls that allow up to four frequently used temperature and/or stirring speeds to be recalled at the touch of a single button make these ceramic top magnetic hot plate stirrers ideal for labs performing repetitive procedures. Unique Stir Trac* technology offers improved slow speed stirring, consistent speed control, and stronger magnetic coupling from 50–1200rpm. Ideal for cold room applications. Can be used in a 0 to 27°C (32 to 80.6°F), 80% relative humidity, non-condensing environment. An easy-to-read digital display indicates speed and temperature settings, adjustable in 1rpm and 1°C increments. A walk-away timer shuts off heating, stirring, or both after a programmed interval. Calibration mode allows the remote probe to be calibrated to external standards. A microprocessor maintains consistent, repeatable temperature and stirring speed settings.

Rugged, low-profile cast aluminum body provides stability and durability. Internal ring-stand holder accommodates a 1.3cm (1/2") support rod. Safety features include a warning light that signals when heating surface is above 50°C (122°F) and an independently adjustable overtemperature protection circuit to prevent runaway conditions. An RS-232 interface allows computer monitoring of time count, temperature set point, top surface/remote probe temperature, stirring set point, and actual speed.

Ordering Information: Both models are supplied with a 15.2cm (6") Type-K probe, detachable cord, and retention bracket that prevents cord from accidental removal. Stirrers also include a 5Lx1dia. cm (2x3/8") fluoropolymer resin-coated stir bar.
